A wharenui is a communal house of the Māori people of New Zealand, generally situated as the focal point of a marae. Wharenui are usually called meeting houses, or simply called whare.
Before the colours and prints we have available now, we used natural MDF. These flat packs feature intricate laser etching to create texture and shape. The design of your choice is cut into the board, push the pieces out and assemble using the instructions included to build your wharenui.
When flat: 130mm x 195mm x 3mm
When assembled: 125mm x 110mm x 40mm.
